Marcia Morrison really means it when she says she feels “intuitively connected” to the bride. For more than 26 years, Marcia has been capturing images of the wedding day. She attributes her success to what she considers a complete understanding of the whole experience surrounding a wedding. Her background of expertise includes ownership of bridal salons, a gown designer, a florist, and most endearingly - a photographer. Working from the heart, she understands what’s important, knows first-hand the hours of emotion filled planning, and recognizes what to capture to tell the story of the wedding day through the client’s eyes. In both a traditional and editorial approach, her imaginative images reflect that wedding photography is truly her passion. For the past several years she has devoted full time to this passion.

     Marcia works closely with her clients prior to the wedding, getting to know their personalities, the details of their special day, and their vision of the final album. At the wedding, Marcia creates a relaxed, fun atmosphere, making the nerves and worries of the day fade immediately. Her photographs are naturally warm and full of life, not contrived in any way. And, although she believes some posed photographs are necessary, she emphasizes the importance of enjoying your family and friends on your wedding day. After all, your wedding is a celebration....so celebrate! Besides, this is when she captures the images that mean the most. Images that make you yearn for the moment every time you view them.

     Marcia's work has appeared in many publications including Modern Bride Magazine and VOWS Business Journal. She is a recommended photographer by the WeddingChannel.com. Her coverage of Chris and Arika (Ruder) Sprecker’s wedding was recently featured in the Wedding Channel.com Real Weddings. Marcia has received 17 international awards for her wedding and high school senior portraits including her latest entitled "Heather's Beauty" awarded in March 2007 from Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.

The Team
Marcia personally photographs each wedding but realizes she can't possibly be everywhere at once. She has carefully chosen and taught her techniques to Jacque Waite and Amanda Gardner. Together as a team, they cover every aspect of your wedding day. Everything is captured....from the planned to the unplanned. When Marcia Morrison Photography covers your day, you receive the coverage of 2 or 3 fine photographers (depending upon the package chosen). Considering this, nothing else compares. Jacque Waite is an artist through and through. She is experienced in portrait and commercial photography but her true passion is photojournalism. Jacque’s unique perspective on weddings is largely based on her experience and the degree she has in graphic design from K-state. It results in natural, artistic photography. Much of her work is inspired by the album pages she is already imagining in her mind while at the wedding.

Amanda Gardner is an award winning photographer and has been working in the field of photography and graphic design since she graduated with an art degree from Illinois State University in 2001. She has an eye for capturing moments that the average eye might miss. Tuning into the emotion of the wedding day, she seeks to capture the feelings of each moment in her photographs. The endurance she carries over from her hobbies of marathon running and triathlons carries her effortlessly through the exciting and emotional events of the wedding day.
